春節 !   Our Spring Banquet has taken place!  We invited you to join First Saturday PDX to celebrate our continuing programs, the new Year of the Dragon and the coming spring.  We had a delicious multi-course lunch including a specialty unique to Golden Horse Seafood Restaurant:  Boneless Whole Chicken Stuffed with Savoury Glutinous Rice,  and other auspicious dishes.  A small Raffle was included with some special items.   ​
The festive day started with the Lunar New Year Parade at 10 AM sponsored by the Portland Chinatown Museum and the Oregon Historical Society (more info here) down the street in Chinatown, and continued with our multi-course lunch at one of our favorites, Golden Horse Seafood Restaurant.

First Saturday PDX is a monthly opportunity to enrich understanding and share a wide range of China - related topics. Presentations cover arts and culture, history and international relations.  As a not for profit organization, we are proud to offer our presentations free of charge and membership fees.  This is only possible through partnerships with the Institute of Asian Studies at Portland State University, Northwest China Council, Portland Chinatown Museum and Lan Su Chinese Garden - as well as generous donations of time and resources by our speakers, planning committee members and volunteers.
