Chinese New Year Brunch: Celebrating the Year of the Earth Dog 3 February, 2018 11:30 am - 1:30 pm First Saturday PDX Planning Committee
February 4, 2018 to February 3, 2019 is marked as the Year of the Earth Dog beginning with the Start of Spring, and the lunar calendar actually commencing on 16th February. Coming around only every sixty years, the Year of the Earth Dog isa time for honesty, fairness, and to cultivate integrity of character. With communication skills and continued loyalty, Dog sniffs out the truth, corruption is exposed, and the underdog is championed. Earth Dog possesses some of the finest qualities of any of the animal signs of the Chinese zodiac with the element Earth bringing healing, stability, and focus on nutrition. In 2018, the Year of the Earth Dog, success in love and in work, depends primarily on the quality of the communication between people, and learning that being selfless and generous can bring the promise of a more generous harvest in return.
