May 14, 2022 – Oregon Rises Above Hate Event !!
Join together to celebrate Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month and the AANHPI (ASIAN, ASIAN AMERICAN, NATIVE HAWAIIAN, PACIFIC ISLANDER) Community and its resilience, and to commit to combat the continued rise in anti-Asian hate

LOCATION:  Old Town Chinatown, festival streets on Flanders and Davis Streets, between 3rd & 4th Avenue and Flanders S Glison Streets in Portland, Oregon
10 AM - 11 AM:
Community Performances by Kylee Kamikawa, Lee's Association Lion Dance, Leela Indian Dance, Obukan Judo, Portland Taiko, Rose City Island Dance, Teva Oriata, and Tsubaki Buyo Doukoukai.
11 AM - 12 PM:
Speaking by community leaders and elected officials.
12 PM - 6 PM:
Cultural heritage institutions will be open for free to encourage exploration of AANHPI culture & history, including Japanese American Museum of Oregon, Lan Su Chinese Garden, Oregon Historical Society, Oregon Jewish Museum, Portland Chinatown Museum, and others.
6 PM - 9 PM:
Vigil and memorial at Lan Su Chinese Garden to honor those that came before us and those that we have lost during the pandemic
There will be FOOD CARTS and TABLES set up throughout the day featuring
Koi Fusion, Pidgin Hole, Teppanyaki Hut, and Bobablastic
